We are a community of families with children ages 0-5 who gather twice a month on Shabbat mornings to nurture our kids' Jewish identity and connect with other families
What to expect
A musical service with rituals to introduce the kids to Shabbat core ideas and melodies
Crafts, games, snacks, and lots of ways to play with friends
And the icing on the cake – our wonderful teen Kitchen-ites will be on hand for childcare if you want to take a moment for a cup of coffee with the other parents
Family Kiddush with challah & juice
Schedule
9:30-10:30 – Open play and crafts with childcare
10:30-11:30 – A special Shabbat service for little ones
11:30-12:00 – Family Kiddush
If your kids haven’t melted yet, you’re invited to stay for kiddush lunch with the entire community around 12:30 PM.

Freedom School Open House for TK
A 3-session open house experience this Spring
Is your little one starting kindergarten next year? Join us for a special 3-session open house to experience the warmth, joy, and learning at Freedom School! Your child will have the opportunity to join our K-1 class for a shabbat experience, meet next year’s cohort, and see if Freedom School is the right fit for your family. Not sure yet? Open House Sessions:
Session I – May 10th
Shabbat Morning Experience 1
You and your child will join our Gan + Kita Alef (K-1) class for one meaningful, hands-on session/
🌅 9:00 AM – Opening circle with Freedom School
📚 9:15 AM – Class time with the K-1 cohort
🌳 10:15 AM – Recess and snack with Freedom School friends
🎶 10:30 AM – Join Kitchen Playground for a musical service & Kiddush
🟡 11:30 AM – Concluding circle for TK families
Session 11 – May 17th
Shabbat Morning Experience
Your child will fully join our Gan + Kita Alef (K-1) class for another chance to immerse and feel familiar with our school community.
🌅 9:00 AM – Opening circle
📚 9:15 AM – Class time with the K-1 cohort
🌳 10:15 AM – Recess and snack with Freedom School friends
📚 10:30 AM – More class time with the K-1 cohort
🌳 11:15 AM – Recess and snack with Freedom School friends
🟡 11:30 AM –Concluding circle for TK families + Kiddush
Session III – June 6th
Kabbalat Shabbat + Dinner
Bring the whole family—including older and younger siblings—for a beautiful, child-friendly shabbat celebration!
🎶 5:00 PM – Gather, play, and sing to welcome Shabbat
🍷6:00 PM – Kiddush, Hamotzi, and a warm Shabbat dinner with our community
