Organizing for Change with GLIDE: Training Part 1

Get trained in core organizing skills and GLIDE’s method of social change with Wesley Saver, the GLIDE Center for Social Justice Policy Manager. Everyone is welcome.

The first training on 11/14 focused on the content of GLIDE’s policy priorities, collective visioning and coalition building. The second training on 12/12 focuses on skills building for organizing efforts with a training on making public comments. Both sessions are at 6 PM.

More about Wesley:
Wesley Saver (he/him) joined the GLIDE Center for Social Justice as Policy Manager in 2019. As the Senior Policy Manager, he oversees the local and state policy agenda, which includes a broad portfolio of priorities to address systemic inequities facing the GLIDE community. Originally from Chicago, as an advocate, educator, human services provider, and organizer, he has over a decade’s track record of serving systemically marginalized and oppressed communities in California, Illinois, and North Carolina, particularly youth and families most impacted by circumstances of poverty, homelessness, and the criminal legal system. Wesley received a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley, and a B.A. in International and Intercultural Studies from Pitzer College.
