Deepening Liturgy, Finding Comfort with Hebrew Prayer

Hebrew is our Lashon Kodesh/Holy Tongue, our source language, with words and phrases we sing out in prayer. Many of us may be able to read the words haltingly but without understanding the essence or meaning of the prayers. In this class, we'll gain vocabulary and grammar basics to help increase comprehension of the words and phrases, while looking at the kavanna, the intention, they bring to our prayers. We will use the Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat service as our textbook to bring immediate connection.

The ability to read/decode Hebrew is required for this class

Thursday evenings at 7PM. 7 session series beginning on March 4, 2020.
